In August, we went camping for three days at the Blue Ridge Center! This was a wilderness survial outing where you could learn to get food, water, and shelter out in the wild. We all arrived in the morning and started learning how to purify water and make shelters. We also learned how to make multiple fires and how to signal to others in an emergency situation. After this we stopped for lunch and then started on a hike. At night we came back to camp, and told some fun stories around the fire and later went to bed. In the morning, we learned some first aid, cleaned up camp and then left the campsite. This was an enjoyable outing, and we recommend going camping at the Blue Ridge Center.
